“I write to discover what I think. After all, the bars aren't open that early.” - Daniel J. Boorstin
I HAVE WATCHED A MILLION LOVE STORIES play out in front of my eyes. I’ve seen the happy parts, the angry parts, the desperate parts, the jealous parts, the starting parts, the ending parts and all of the in-between parts. I’ve seen the lustful gazes, the one-night stands, the romantic proposals, the cheating scams. I’ve passed on drinks with a charming grin, pointed at the person sending the drink and watched them wink or smile at the person they’re hitting on. I’ve seen people dump drinks on the other, yelled curses, broken down in front of a crowd. I’ve seen a heartbroken lover enter and leave the bar almost as quickly as a flame burns out. I’ve been there in the restrooms, dabbing tissues on their clothes and helping them with their broken heart. I’ve figured out the rights and the wrongs, just by watching them from behind the bar.
